About Melissa
Melissa Matthay has been designing knitwear since 1980. She started The Yarn Co. on Broadway in New York and transformed the Knitting Tree
in Madison, Wisconsin. She had her television debut on Knitty Gritty in 2005 and a seven-page spread in Family Circle in
2006. She co-authored Little Box of Scarves I and II, Little Box of Sweaters, Basically Brilliant Knits, Perfectly Brilliant Knits, and
authored Knits Three Ways, Children's Knits, and Kritter Knits (coming soon). She has given workshops across America and created custom
knits for the industry and individuals. Melissa currently lives in Santa Monica, California.
